Halojonesfan, in a response to the “Despair” essay below, linked to this article on the new popularity of tiny cattle.

Which reminded me that I happened to have this picture of me on Tractor Beam, hauling one of our mini-cows to market.

This reminds me of how Father Ted always had to tell Father Dougal the difference between the toy farm animals in the rectory living room and the cows outside in the pasture:

“These are very small, but those are far away.”
