I’m going to be on the boat for a week or so, and there probably won’t be Internet there. Or if there is, no bandwidth to speak of. So once I get on the boat on Saturday, posts will be rare, and possibly nonexistent.
So I’m taken care of. How are y’all spending your summer?
Yesterday I got a notice forcing me to take two weeks vacation between now and August. I usually plan vacations for spring (just returned from a short in northern Sweden) and autumn.
I think it’s time to re-read some Iain M Banks, Jack Vance and Walter Jon Williams.
And hope my car gets released from the workshop so I can actually go somewhere like railroad museums, shooting ranges. Otherwise I’ll stay home and perhaps start building that model railroad or something.
I’ll be near the place you photographed taking care of people’s visa and passport needs, etc. You are coming to Belize? Perhaps you could lose your passport so you’d have to come see me?
Yes, Anon, I’ll be in Belize, but mostly on the boat, the rest of the time in Belize City. Where are you at?
I’m in Belmopan, the world’s smallest capital city that has a U.S. Embassy, though I can get to Belize City easily enough. Anyway, if you lose your passport or get arrested, we’ll be here for you. Or if you want to meet more pleasantly, for that matter.
