Episode One

91dc028fed808233cd95865f47d1e618afa60ceeSo Hardwired, Episode One is now available at Amazon, Kobo, Smashwords, and iBooks.  There’s been a technical problem with Barnes & Noble, but it should be resolved shortly.

Yes, I’m serializing a novel that’s already complete and available!

Why would I do this, you ask?  Before I get into that, let me point out that it’s FREE.

And that it has an EXTRA, which is to say that it includes an essay I wrote about the origin of the novel.

So for FREE, you get that essay and a chunk of the novel.  (Which most of you have read already, probably.   But don’t let that stop you from downloading the file.)

As for why I’m doing this, I thought I’d give away Episode One as an inducement to buy the complete novel.

Plus, AMAZON NUMBERS.  If you get good Amazon numbers, Amazon gives you other stuff, like making it easier for readers to find your books.

So— AMAZON NUMBERS, FREE ESSAY, FREE FREE FREE.

Download and enjoy!

Amazon wants US$0.99 from me…
I’m in Australia, if that makes a difference.

Downloaded and reviewed! Thanks!

ejp, there’s nothing I can do about Amazon Australia, but you can click on the Smashwords link and download the Kindle-suitable file for free.

Though it says ‘Part One’ on the cover, searching that term on Amazon will only lead one a merry chase. “Did you mean: hardware part one” ? Taking a cue from the post title I changed my search terms to include ‘Episode” and achieved Huge Success. Search engines and me, we have challenging relationships. “Purchased” and enjoyed; also grabbed all “Privateers and Gentlemen” series along with “Investments.” Pumping those Amazon numbers and wishing for more in the Praxis universe. Thanks!

I appreciate your dedication. Search engines, I’ve found, are cumbersome and stupid.

F’rinstance, on Apple and Kobo they’re case-sensitive. Typing “walter jon williams” will get you nowhere, but “Walter Jon Williams” can find you something, at least part of the time.

Ok, thanks, downloaded from smashwords for actual use on my Sony reader.

Also downloaded from amazon to bump your AMAZON NUMBERS.

(As for the search bit… “hardwired” on amazon took me to the wrong book, but “hardwired williams” took me straight to the right one)

This novel will eventually be revealed as the canonical cyberpunk novel. Lyrical, plausible, original, flavorful: a classic will always nourish. Age adds no tarnish.

“eventually”???
