So who are these guys that I saw at one of the World War II museums in Normandy?
They wear period uniforms of the Royal Navy, but they would seem to be Japanese hobbyists engaged in some re-creation.

Maybe that was the Japanese-American unit that fought like hell in Europe? And saved the Lost Battilion?
If they were members of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, they’d probably be around 90 by now, so I’m guessing’ not.
Just to make this even more confusing, this was the Airborne museum at St.-Mere-Eglise. So why people dressed as officers in the RN were there is even more puzzling.
