I Am Play’d

by wjw on April 30, 2015

I am gradually uploading my ebooks to Google Play.  They’re not all uploaded yet, but they should be within the next week or so.

I haven’t moved my stuff onto Google for a number of reasons, among them (1) I’m still mad at Google for trying to glom the copyright of every living writer in the world, (2) the interface was said to be daunting, (3) nobody I knew was making any money there.

But now some people are starting to report significant amounts of cash flowing through Google, so it behooves me to grab my share.  Indeed the interface is very annoying, but I’ve figured out its kinks by now, and the uploads are going smoothly (at least when I have time to do uploads).  I’m glad I’m not learning on this one.

As an amusing aside, when I first checked my page I found a number of pirate editions there.  But as soon as uploaded my first book, the pirates abandoned ship.  My guess is that they didn’t want me reporting them to Google Management and bringing their other pirate uploads into question.

When you are talking about pirate editions, you were talking about Cat Island and The Macedonian, correct?

… Ok, that joke was bad, even by my standards.
