Fustilarian
Over on another Social Network, I was rejoicing that I’d written a sentence containing the phrase “fustilarian bellygods.”
This occasioned a deal of speculation about what my sentence actually was. I declined to answer, because I didn’t want to interrupt the flow of imagination that was going on.
And I thought I’d stimulate imagination here, by initiating another contest.
Write a sentence— or more than one, if you like— containing the phrase “fustilarian bellygods.” And of the various entries, I will pick a winner, who will receive the StoryBundle Philip K Dick Award collection, featuring eleven complete ebooks, including my own Knight Moves.
My decision concerning the winner will be arbitrary, prejudiced, and final.
Have fun!
And for those of you needing inspiration, I offer the following:
“Hudibras becomes the puritan bellygod par excellence:
Our knight did bear no less a pack
Of his own buttocks on his back.”
(And Urban, if you’re out there, send me your email so I can send your prize for winning the last contest.)
