Waldo/Herzog

by wjw on April 11, 2011

That slash between “Waldo” and “Herzog” is meant to call to mind the slash between “Marat” and “Sade.”  Because this is one extreme artist, Werner Herzog, giving his own unique voice to the work of another artist— namely, the creator of “Where’s Waldo?”

May I just state that I’ve really enjoyed Herzog’s sense of humor ever since his star turn in Incident in Loch Ness?

That’s classic. Thanks!

Sadly, I have to report that this is a parody/hoax. Brilliantly done, though.

My disillusionment is complete. Next you’re going to tell me that Herzog wasn’t eaten by the Loch Ness monster.

But he did play a plastic bag in Ramin Bahrani’s short film “Plastic Bag”.
