We awoke this morning to a beautiful carpet of snow covering everything in sight. Unfortunately this meant that our Thanksgiving guests were snowed in, and couldn’t come, and so we’re faced with the prospect of dealing with a 22-pound turkey, bacon and sausage stuffing, and other trimmings all on our own.Previous post: Thanksgiving Reading

I use iBirdPro on my iPhone & iPad. Keeping lists there, has birdsongs. It’s a well-written app.I think $29.99, well worth it.

But I mostly do hawk moths, not hawks, so take that with an ounce of stuffing.
Yep. It’s definitely a Coopers hawk. I’ve never seen one in this neighborhood before.
