Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian post office, will release a new stamp based on the iconic moment when the border guards on Snake Island transmitted, “Russian warship, go fuck yourself!” The design, by artist Boris Groh, won a contest over nineteen other entries.
I hope that we’ll be able to buy these stamps once they are available. It’s a way to get money to Ukraine.
It’s has subtle visual notes of Ralph Bakshi’s “Wizards.” I love it.
Turns out it was a propaganda story put out by the Ukrainians. Because all the soldiers from the island are alive and well in Russian custody. Come on Walter, you know how propaganda works forwards and backwards!!

Cowboy, the recording of the radio conversation is available. It might be faked, I suppose, but it’s a weird thing to fake. If I were a Ukrainian propagandist, I’d have better things to do.
The only way we’ll know what happened is if the Russians parole the prisoners (which they promised to do, by the way).
